THE FLIPSIDE PROJECT
The Flipside Project, is a nationally awarded contemporary choreographic dance project, in which young people work collaboratively with professional choreographers, composers & visual designers. For young people living in Newcastle and the Greater Hunter, The Flipside Project challenges preconceptions of what dance is, and offers new possibilities of what it can be.
THE FLIPSIDE PROJECT
THE FLIPSIDE PROJECT is not a dance school. The project is unique, providing contemporary dance experiences that are inclusive, non-competitive, creative and reflect the choreographic processes of the professional arts industry. Working in collaboration with professional and emerging NSW choreographers, composers and visual designers, four dance ensembles: junior (8 –12), senior (13-18) & Aboriginal Youth Ensemble (12-18) emerging artists (18–26) create original works that are presented to Audiences across local, national and international performances and festivals.
