ALLIE GRAHAM

SKIP WILLCOX
Skip Willcox is an independent dance artist and founding member of Catapult Dance Company. Through Catapult Dance, Skip has been engaged by resident and international choreographers including Cadi McCarthy, Omer Backley-Astrachan, Kristina Chan and Lee Brummer. As an emerging choreographer she has created and performed site specific works, solo performances and collaborative works with international multidicisiplinary artists and composers. Skip’s work has been performed at the QVB Sydney, Newcastle Art Gallery, The Lock-Up Contemporary Art Space and Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery. She has undertaken a series of Propel residencies at Catapult Dance and studio exchange residencies at Critical Path, Sydney. Previous to this, she was a company dancer at Tanzcompagnie Giessen/Stadtheater Giessen, Germany under the direction of Tarak Assam. During her time with Tanzcompagnie Giessen she worked with outstanding international choreographers including Jacek Przybylowicz, James Wilton, Felix Dumeril and Pascal Touzeau. Skip has also conducted training and workshops including the delivery of two programs of dance therapy in partnership with the University of Giessen. To complement and extend her practice, Skip is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Newcastle where she is Student Ambassador for the Art.
