MANNING THE FORT

Manning The Fort was a performance work presented in collaboration with Tantrum Youth Arts at Fort Scratchely. It detailed the women’s stories during WW2 who served in the Australian Forces, manning the Fort in the Newcastle Harbour. The performance incorporated works by Cadi McCarthy, Rhiannon Newton & Marnie Palomares and films by Jessica Coughlan with Madeline & Amelia Denholm, & works by professional dancers: Emily-Kate Watts & Katrina McLardy. Manning the Fort received a 2016 CONDA award for choreography.
